ABSTRACT
A unique public/private sector
partnership involving a
major Superfund site
cleanup is revitalizing the
Town of Corinna, Maine.
The fast-track project
restored Corinna's downtown hub several years
faster than a traditional Superfund cleanup by
using an aggressive early cleanup approach and a
unique synergy developed by federal, state, local
and private stakeholders. As a result, this project
was awarded an Engineering Excellence Award
from the National American Council of
Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the Maine
Chapter of ACEC.
