JAMES C. ANDERSON APPOINTED PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT AT MACTEC
ATLANTA, GA, August 16, 2007 – James C. Anderson, R.A., has been named principal architect at MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C). Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com), made the announcement. Anderson is based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
According to MACTEC vice president and Georgia/Alabama operations manager David Goershel, Anderson is overseeing all architectural duties for the company in the Atlanta metro area.
“Jim brings to MACTEC more than 27 years of architectural expertise, including programming, conceptual/detail design, contract document coordination, specification development, and design services,” Goershel said. “He has also supervised both public and private sector architectural projects.”

- Dekalb County Juvenile Court – Four-story concrete frame building with elliptical dome and rotunda
- Atlanta Public Schools – Eight-story concrete frame office building and five-story precast concrete parking deck
- Public Housing Authority – Housing projects in Memphis, TN, Mobile, AL, and Tuskegee, AL
- Home Depot – Managed multiple retail warehouse projects, from due diligence phase through construction
- Neiman Marcus department store, Troy, MI – Duties included detailing shell and vertical circulation components, coordinating project engineering, and interior design
Anderson has been a registered architect in Florida since 1985. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University.
