ERIC A. BLOMBERG, PG, NAMED TALLAHASSEE OFFICE MANAGER

TALLAHASSEE, FL, August 31, 2007 – Eric A. Blomberg, P.G., has been named Tallahassee office manager at MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C). Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com), made the announcement.

Blomberg has been with MACTEC for 19 years and also serves as a principal hydrogeologist. His areas of expertise include program, project, and technical management, as well as geology, hydrogeology, and geologic engineering. Blomberg’s experience includes remedial investigations, feasibility studies, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act facility investigations, site inspections, contamination/environmental site assessments, sediment and soil sampling, and aquifer characterization.

Blomberg has supervised a wide variety of environmental projects for MACTEC. He was principal-in-charge for the US Navy's Naval Facilities South Division CLEAN contract and provided technical direction for the Navy’s installation restoration / feasibility studies program.

Blomberg has also served as project manager for a number of Florida Department of Environmental Protection projects, some of which have included dry cleaning solvent and hazardous waste site investigations, hydrogeological assessments, contamination assessments at over 400 petroleum sites, and large-scale remediation services at the Orlando Sanford International Airport.

Blomberg received a Bachelor of Science degree in geological engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a Master of Science degree in hydrogeology from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a registered professional geologist in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
