W. PAUL TEICHERT APPOINTED PRINCIPAL ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER AT MACTEC

KNOXVILLE, TN, August 7, 2007 – W. Paul Teichert has been named Principal Environmental Engineer at MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C). Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com), made the announcement. Teichert is based in the firm’s Knoxville office.

Teichert has more than 22 years of experience in regulatory compliance and environmental engineering, including conducting audits for Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, and Toxic Substances Control Act programs for both commercial and federal clients.

“Paul has done numerous engineering evaluation / cost analyses and feasibility studies for cleanup actions at sites under state and Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act programs,” said MACTEC's Tennessee area manager Jerry Archer. “His experience includes design of both industrial wastewater treatment and groundwater remediation systems. Paul has also developed waste management and minimization programs for industrial clients, all of which will be invaluable as we continue to expand our environmental services in the region.”

Teichert earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
