Metra Parking Lot Improvements for the Village of Wilmette

MACTEC's construction management services on this project included extensive improvements to the Metra Station site, a multi-modal hub for pedestrian, bicycle, vehicular, bus and rail transportation. Improvements allowed for a safer interface between the five different modes of traffic and a more functional and extensive parking layout, increasing the number of parking spaces by 315. One innovation was the installation of parking meters with the capability to accept debit or credit card payments, thereby enhancing customer service and increasing client revenue.
