Interview Tips

You've found a position you're interested in, submitted your resume, and perhaps answered some questions in a phone interview. If you've now been scheduled to come in for an interview, this is your chance to shine. Show us why you should join MACTEC!

Here are a few tips that can help you prepare:

• Know our company — research what MACTEC does, the services we provide, and the markets we serve.
• Know how your skills fit in — where do you see yourself within the company? Review the requirements in our job descriptions, and if there is more than one area where your experience and abilities are a good match, which area is your first choice?
• Prepare questions to ask — we both want to know if there's potential for a match. We will prepare questions to gain the information we need to make the right decision. You should do the same.
• Know where you're headed — in two years, five years, where do you want to be?
• Know how our culture fits with your style — are our culture and values at MACTEC a good fit for you in a personal way?
• Be yourself — it's OK to be a little nervous.  We understand interviewing is stressful, so just try your best to relax and answer questions in a way that reflects who you are. Rather than trying to give us perfect responses to a tough interview questions, be honest and share with us what makes you special and potentially the right fit for the job.
