MACTEC CEO "gets" safety
Each year as part of its advocacy, the National Safety Council (NSC) surveys its
53,000 organizational members and recognizes chief executives who understand the
importance of providing a safe workplace. These CEOs must document a commitment
to the continuous improvement of their firms’ safety programs.
For 2011, NSC reviewed applications from 53 chief executives and selected Ann
Massey as one of ten CEOs who “get” safety. The story and interview were
published in the February issue of Safety+Health, distributed to NSC’s
audience worldwide.
“Safety is a MACTEC core value, and it’s expected of each of us to protect people
and the environment from harm,” remarks Massey. “I’m gratified that the National
Safety Council recognizes our commitment.”
