New Complex, Dar Es Salaam, Tansania

MACTEC conducted a value engineering study on the 35% design documents for the new embassy complex in Tansania. This phase of the design-build project included a 3 story, 76,000 SF office facility on a 23 acre site. The construction cost for this project was estimated at $32,971,000. The seven person VE team developed 38 proposals that couldresult in construction cost savings of $2.7 million.

New Staff Housing U.S. Embassy, Berlin, Germany

MACTEC facilitated a value engineering study for the construction of 34 duplex housing units to replace existing outdated staff housing. The construction cost for this State Department, Foreign Buildings Operations project was estimated at $10,437,000. The VE team proposed $1.3 million in construction cost savings.

MACTEC facilitated a three-day value engineering study on the concept design documents for the construction of the new Chancery and improvements to the compound. The construction cost for this project was estimated at $15,123,000. The VE team proposed $664,000 in construction cost savings and $38,000 per year in energy savings.

The construction cost for this State Department, Foreign Buildings Operations project was estimated at $12,100,000. The VE team proposed $1.6 million in construction cost savings.
