MACTEC performed a value engineering study for this .47 mile four lane project with a deficient traffic capacity, deficient drainage and safety concerns. The project will add through lanes, turn lanes, bicycle lanes, a sidewalk and ADA improvements. The construction cost is $18 million construction and $18 million in right-of-way (ROW) costs. The VE effort resulted in identified savings of $3 million.

SR 9/I-95 from North of Gateway Blvd to South of 6th Avenue South in Palm Beach County

MACTEC performed a value engineering study for this 3.35 mile four lane project with an anticipated ADT of 240,000 cars that will require the addition of two HOV lanes and auxiliary lanes to accommodate the anticipated traffic. The construction cost is $26.4 million. The VE effort resulted in identified savings of $1.3 million.

SR 7/US 441 from North of Hallandale Beach Boulevard to North of Hollywood Boulevard

MACTEC performed a value engineering study for this 1.8 mile four lane project with a deficient traffic capacity, deficient drainageand safety concerns. The project will add through lanes, turn lanes, bicycle lanes, a sidewalk and ADA improvements. The construction cost is $10 million construction and $50-90 million in right-of-way (ROW) costs. The VE effort resulted in identified savings of $38 million in ROW.
