Whole House Revitalizations, Earle, NWS, New Jersey

MACTEC performed a VE  Study of the 35% design documents using a 6-person  team.  162 family housing units will be renovated to improve the quality of life for the military families assigned  for a four year tour of duty.  The VE  team identified $2.5 million in savings potential for this $14.7 million project.

Residence Hall II
Christopher Newport University
Newport News, Virginia

MACTEC conducted a VE study of the new student residence containing over 117,000 SF of space to accommodate 440 students, sophomores and above, in a combination of suites, apartments and efficiencies that would make their student experience more pleasurable.   The VE study resulted in savings of $277,000 for this $11 million project.

Bachelor Enlisted Quarters
Great Lakes, Illinois

MACTEC conducted a VE study of these residential towers containing over 760,000 SF of space to house 2800 sailors in quarters that would maintain a high level of morale and encourage them to make the Navy their career of choice.  The VE study produced savings of $6.9 million for this $100 million Northern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command project.

Willoughby Bay Family Housing Revitalization

MACTEC facilitated a Function Analysis Concept Development (FACD) for this $37 million revitalization project.  The FACD team identified the goals as:

  • Re-establish a Sense of Community
  • Improve Residents’ Quality of Life
  • Provide Residents with Best Possible Project

The FACD resulted in savings of $5.6 million.

MACTEC conducted a VE study of the five residential towers containing over 300,000 SF of space to house 900 sailors in quarters that would maintain a high level of morale and encourage them to make the Navy their career of choice.  The VE study resulted in savings of $815,000 for this $42 million Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command project.
