To help a client in the paper products industry maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA regulatory tracking and reporting requirements, a team of MACTEC Environmental, Health & Safety and Information Technology professionals developed an information tracking tool to effectively store and communicate information on the hazards of over 800 chemicals used by over 1,300 personnel at their 2,500-ton-per-day bleached kraft paper mill. The system was designed so that it could be easily converted to multiple other relational database formats or web-based interface.
