Air Quality & Emissions Management
- AERMOD is a next-generation dispersion model that includes advanced
boundary layer algorithms for modeling the dispersion of point, area, and volume
sources. This suite of tools includes AERMET and AERMAP, which are
our meteorological and terrain preprocessors, respectively. AERMOD is the
preferred dispersion model for regulatory applications.
- ISC2 and ISC3 (Industrial Source Complex Models 2 and 3) include
algorithms such as area source, open pit, complex terrain, dry and wet
deposition for particles, and the CALPUFF dry deposition algorithm for gaseous
pollutants.
- SCREEN2 and SCREEN3 air quality screening models were developed
for the EPA and are widely used to provide simple, conservative concentration
estimates based on the ISC2 and ISC3 dispersion algorithms. The SCREEN model is
also included in TSCREEN, whichis a toxics screening model with
algorithms that estimate emissions and dispersion for Superfund release
scenarios.
- Air Quick Facts downloads data from national EPA data systems to a
PDA/handheld database query application.
- i -STEPS infinity ® handles total facility emissions to all
media (air, land, and water), pollutant-specific emissions by source or source
category, and other facility activities.
- NEON (NEI Emissions On the ‘Net) is an EPA web reporting tool for
querying the multiyear National Emission Inventory (NEI) and National Toxics
Inventory (NTI) data from EPA’s Oracle database.
