Sewer and wastewater containment for the Illinois River

MACTEC is creating a long-term control plan to abate Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) into the Illinois River from several square miles of the oldest developed areas of Peoria. This includes inventory and development of a sewer hydraulic model, and negotiation with state and federal authorities.

MACTEC is active with community outreach during this project, which is being accelerated into design and construction phases as part of federal infrastructure stimulus.
