Technical Resources
MACTEC embraced the information age early on, establishing an IT infrastructure
that today provides a strong foundation supporting our commitment to continuous
improvement. Our nationwide network of engineering, scientific, technical, and
information management resources is available to every MACTEC client and project
team.
Our many resources range from software such as CentricProject and
Vertex®, to technologies such as
Geographic Information Systems and Ground Penetrating Radar, to
in-house
laboratories that analyze air quality, soil composition, pavements, products,
macroinvertebrates, biotoxicity, and various materials. Our in-house testing and
research capabilities have long been a technical advantage and a source of
significant cost savings for our clients.
Other in-house advantages include
over 140 computer programs we have written or acquired to supplement our various
services, often developing custom applications for unique situations. Of course,
we use the latest industry-standard software as well, including AutoCAD Civil
3D, Land Desktop, and Raster Design, as well as Bentley InRoads, MicroStation,
and GEOPAK Civil Engineering Suite.
We also embrace innovations in field equipment as well as sampling and testing
methodologies. Our GeoProbe drill rig, which uses direct-push technology to
collect samples, enables us to double the number of shallow monitoring wells
that may be installed per day.
As technology continues to drive profound changes in the way business is
conducted, MACTEC's experts continually learn and apply new, more efficient
technologies while retaining the experience of the past. Whether we're designing
software, creating complex 3D/BIM designs, setting up project web sites,
automating data collection, or automating facility life cycle management, we
know how to make technology work for us, and for our clients.
