Planning and Landscape Architecture

MACTEC’s Planning and Landscape Architecture group is active on projects worldwide, ranging in size from one acre to 10,000 acres, including population centers of up to more than half a million. On all projects, the group follows a philosophy of maintaining the delicate balance between Man and Nature, and focuses on sustainability and the use of “green” design principles.

Planning projects include city/county comprehensive planning and zoning, military master planning, and historic preservation planning. Clients include private sector, non-profit organizations, and all levels of government.

 Landscape Architecture projects include master planning, design, and engineering for parks and recreation areas; master planning and engineering of cemeteries; master planning and design of urban streetscapes; trail and greenway planning and design; and land planning for redevelopment (brownfield) sites.
